i have a 1985 jeep cherokee pioneer wit a 2.1 litre turbo diesel. 3 days ago i puta brand new starter in it and it worked well for about 4 hours and then it sounded like my starter was stuck on it was just making a high pitch squealing noise so i poped my hood quickly disconnected my battery waited an hour hooked it back up and it worked. then after that everything was good but the next day it wouldnt even turn over it would just click. the battery is brand new and all the connections are tight. someone was telling me that it might be the flywheel but i cant see that for the starter will not even turn over.
