New radiator barn radiator

I got my new radiator to dut unfortunately it got banged around in shipping and the filler neck and the flange for the radiator cap got dented/bent , so hopefully they will take of that for me. The real question is that since they use styrofoam blockes for packing should i be worried about the little pieces that flake off (look like little balls) making their way into the radiator core and tranny cooler? seems like in the tranny cooler they would just disentigrate from the fluid and heat but in the radiator it seems like they could clog up some of the passages pretty easy.

Just flush the rad before you put it on. But if the damage is very bad, you might wanna question using it in the first place.

I wouldn't worry about styrofoam pellets unless there's a lot of them in there...you can never keep them ALL out. Just do the best you can at removing any that may have fallen in...one or two won't hurt anything if you can't get em out.

I'd send it back and get a rad that's not dented though...

i was definately going to send it back but i figured the new one would have the pellets in it as well, thanks for the replies though. It seems like its a common thing for radiators to get damaged in shipping ive heard of mine and atlest three others on here that have recieved damaged radiators
