New Cupholder

This is the cupholder I made today. It works pretty well and when it's folded up in the center console I can actually use my parking brake. Also, the factory cup holder is horrible.

Hopefully these pics work. It's the first time I've used photobucket.

So simple, yet so cool. How hard is it to use the e-brake w/ it folded out and in use?

Recently purchased bone stock silverstone '01 XJ 4.0 4x4. Overland project to come.....

Sweet.

I had one that looked like a skull I got at Wal-Mart a long time a go. Sometimes it would hold 1500lbs., sometime my drink would instantly spill as I put it in.

It was awesome.

Nice idea. I have so much crap jammed in there i don't think I could fit it though. What I did was took one of those fold up cupholders and screwed it into the bottom of the arm rest. Works for me. Good idea though, never thought of that.

I got a 96 XJ with 2.5 liters running 4.10's out of the AX5 5spd pushin 31's out of a NP231 on the D30 front and C8.25 rear all underneath Rusty's 3-inches.

Well its definately Ghetto SOMETHING !!!!!

Dude I just built an aftermarket Console and with cup holders and a stereo relocation and took it to a local upholstery shop got the whole thing covered for $40. Do yourself a favor. Go visit a local junk yard...find a slide in cup holder...build a lil box and have the Upholstery cover it. It will look factory and you will be able to close the Console.

Go visit the Upostery guys...they are amazing and usually very reasonable if you do some upfront work.

I use my console as a tool box. I need to keep that thing latched while I'm driving, or I'll have tools and hardware everywhere. Looks like a good idea though.

That's pretty sweet. One of these days I'm gonna spend some time at the junkyard and pull a whole center console...my no-options XJ didn't come with one.
