yea..i hear you/it. i just don't like the flo-pro all that much...sounds too high pitch....i like the rumbly sound the baffled has, and at high rpms it sounds similar to the other one anyway.

I have a 1999 XJ so I purchased the Rugged Ridge Raw Steel Header Assembly for 91-99. It does not allow the intake manifold to fit. I have been told that half way through the model year they changed the manifold and because of that it hits the far right pipe. From what I can see the pipe needs to be moved at least a 1/4" down and to the right. Has anyone had this problem with any other header? Thank you in advance.

I was the same way until I heard the aero muffler. It is a pricey muffler, IIRC, you can find them for around $120.

I have a magnaflow high flow cat on mine along with a dynamax catback that I picked up from summit racing a year or two ago. I've been very happy with it, sounds decent, and it's nice and mellow while driving. In fact, the system I took off was so full of holes that the new one is actually quieter. I think the entire setup cost me about 200 bucks, which as far as I'm concerned is pretty damn cheap for an exhaust, especially considering that the catback alone on my cobra was close to 5x that amount when new.

Anyway, I'm at work so I haven't clicked on the links you provided (so what you posted might also have this), but the dynamax system comes with a nice little SS tip on the piping. Looks different, but doesn't stand out to much, so like I said, I'm happy with it.

Nice wheels WHITEXJ7! AR Pythons, right?

I got my FlowMaster 40 from performancepeddler.*** $40 US IIRC and no shipping. I left the pipes OEM because they are T340 SS but I did spring for a Banks Torque Tube because the OEM unit cracked at the collector. Pricey to be sure but what the heck...
Exhaust has a really nice rumble at idle, the flowee does drone at highway speed and the wife and kid hate it but it's my ride, they are hardly ever in it and I (still) like it.
