LONG day

I dont think that baffled muffler is magnaflow and flo-pro is its own company.I think the magnaflow does not come in till you add the cat. to the package. I would look at magnaflow site or call company on your link to be clear.

Where did you get the parts for it then..the tail pipe and stuff.
I don't have the tools to bend my own tubes.

I'm mostly asking for opinions because i think that the baffled sounds good when stopped and the Flo pro sounds better when driving away... so i am split between the 2. Why pick one and be unhappy and not ask what others think about each of them...that to me is stupid. I liked this kit because brand name exhaust kits are the same thing but $400...
All from where I work. Fisher Auto Parts

part # for muffler VX2442 $40

and a 10 foot section of pipe. $20

15 minutes cutting the old exhaust off from the cat back...then about 30 minutes in my shop with my pipe bender mimicking the old tail pipe and vola....

a normal shop with a bender will charge you $60 for bending the tubing and installing the muffler. $40 is my employee price (actually $45 but I adjusted the price some to fit what I had in my pocket)

**List on the muffler is $95 and walk in customer with out any discount is $72, and shop cost with level 2 discount is $56.

I've got a flowmaster 40 with a 2.5" tailpipe and love the sound. It drones a bit around 1200rpm but aside from that I couldn't be happier.

Unless you're replacing the stock muffler/tailpipe because its rotted out, you're wasting money. NOTHING you put behind the cat on a stock 4.0 is going to change performance one iota- the limiting factor is the downpipe (with that big dent in it) and the fact that the 4.0 has small valves/ports anyway (especially the 1999 and later heads). The muffler and tailpipe (and even the factory catalyst, if its not clogged) are totally irrelevant to performance UNTIL you open up that downpipe and modify the cylinder head.

Or stated simply: the stock 4.0 is not limited by its exhaust system.

That you can do... just didn't want to to expect a big power or economy gain and then not see it.

Me- I'm getting old and crotchety enough that I like quiet mufflers again (although I've got a set of really loud dual magnaflow's on a muscle car... but that's a special case).

I'm not going for it to be that loud, that's why i don't want a super 40 or 44. I think the baffled one from IRO sounds like a tuned down super 40.

I have the IRO exhaust but substituted the baffled muffler for a flowmaster super 40 and added the magnaflow highflow cat. I would just go with the baffled muffler. I listened to both clips on the site a lot before finding out I could get a flowmaster with it. If I hadn't gotten the flowmaster, I would've gone with the baffled muffler.

I'm going to have to disagree with the baffled muffler. I think it sounds very open and metallic/harsh. Also, notice how the engine rices out at the higher RPMS when he's revving it? I don't like that one bit
