Need help with a few problems. tail gate, tail light, fog lights, squeaky st wheel.

With my (new to me) 98 Classic it needs a little bit of TLC. It is in great shape, but the previous owner was not as picky as me.

!. Where can I get either aftermarket or OEM tail lights. One of mine is cracked pretty bad but no large holes.

2. The rear lift gate rattles/squeaks. How do I tighten that up if I can.

3. My fog lights do not work. I think it is the switch. Anyone had this happen? If so, what fixed it.

4. The steering wheel squeaks, especially when cold. Drive me nuts, I will take it apart and see if there is somthing to lube in there

5. The driver's side has a 1.5 inch tear in the seat. Should I have it reupholstryed (have not idea how to spell it) or does Jeep sell replacement seats upholstry?

Last, I checked today and I have the 8.5 rear end. Yeppi. Gotta love those stickys.

1. car parts stores. if not in stock, they can order them. Otherwise try a junkyard.
3. the switch in the 97 and newer is notorious for sorta melting together and not working.

Wheel Legally, and support land access groups.

PS: Installing HID's in stock housings is bad. Here is why.

1. deffinatly try a junkyard, there is a guy on this forum that'll have it, his user name is jnkyrdg04, he'll sell it to ya rear cheap and ship it FedEx

2. Not sure what the squeaking is. There are a bunch of phillips screws on there you can try tightening. Also make sure the spare tire is tighly secure, maybe its coming from there.

3. Again, ask jnkyrdg04 for a new switch, as he mentioned, it probably melted. I'd take it out to be sure though. Maybe its just a fews or something. The center consule peice pops off with force, 3 screws take out the panel with the switch, and the you gotta unplug and compress the little clips that hold it in. I guess you could check it with a multimeter or something.

4. Get a can of spray silicon lubricant, spray it on the steering linkage in the column. Pretty much just spray inside that boot thats is right behind the hazard botton and turn the wheel to get it in there good. Mine pretty much only does it when its like sub zero out, thats it though.

5. Best thing would be to just get a seat cover, you can get cheapo walmart ones, or those expesive neoprene ones. If you don't want that, then its probably cheaper and easier just to replace the hole seat. its 4 bolts and a plug.
