Need help with ac on a 2000XJ

First I found out that fuse 10 was blown, no backup lights and 5 engine codes. Read somewhere this also controls ac relay. Replaced fuse and all codes went away but still no ac. System is charged, low pressure switch ok. Jumped relay and ac is fine, tested relay and is ok, can hear relay working when I plug it in but compressor will not tun on. Anyone ?

Does the compressor come on with a direct power feed?

Did not try a seperate 12 volt feed, just jumped the relay but the clutch works with the relay jumped.

Turns out to be a computer problem, the fan and compressor relays had no ground from the computer. A mechanic found a spare ground on the computer harness and jumped it somehow. Now the ac works great but the compressor does not cycle. Guess I just have to watch out for freeze ups but cheaper than a new computer.
