Mystery hose with a hole in it! Help me identify it!
Ok, so, while I was cleaning up the metal for my manifold gasket, I found a rubber hose with a big, nasty hole in it (looks and feels like motor oil rotted it away). I traced its two ends, and took pictures...
![]() That's where one end went. Am I correct in thinking that's the charcoal filter? Anyway, the hose was connected to the spot the arrow is pointing to. ![]() This hard line was where the other end was connected. I traced it along the underside of the body, and it goes all the way to the fuel tank, where it splits and each half goes to one side (pass./driver side) of the tank, by the look of it. So, given where the hose was, what on earth is it for? I'm planning on reusing the metal clamp and little plastic fastener that were on either end, and just getting a new piece of the same kind of hose, but I'd kind of like to know what the hose was, well, for. Any ideas?

Its the vapor line that runs from the fuel tank to the charcoal canister to keep gas vapors from leaking into the air and cab.

Awesome, thanks for the quick replies! I'll be sure to get a new piece of hose when I get my new manifold gasket tomorrow.
