I'm glad to see it being done nicely and not just a hack and go. Can't wait to see the final (if there is such a thing) body work.

::update::

i haven't had a chance to get much done with school and work and all. also i had to move the cherokee from my dads shop to my home garage. minor setback but now i at least have my own area.

anyway here is what i have got done.

i tracked down a guy parting out a 97 cherokee 2 door and got the doors fenders and front header panel w/ everything for 175. i am real excited and i decided to ditch my tube fender idea and go with tj fender flares. i also picked up a used safari snorkel.

i only have the passenger door on at the moment but it went on really easily. i did removable hinge mod.

i think the different interiors match up great.
heres a better shot of the yj roll bar i picked up. its still not in yet. i need to extend the rear tubes.

i started cutting up the rear so i can get the tailgate to fit. i am kinda winging it but i think it will come out ok. i have never done any work like this before so i am learning as i go along.

thats it for now. the tailgate is my main priority. i want too have in finished within the next couple of weeks

haha the "chopping is the easy part. just pull out the electric wires for the 3rd brake light and hack away. its cleaning up the aftermath thats a b*tch

ive thought about this and i bet with th toole you have you could defintaly get the rear doar/hatch to fit as the rear wall for your "cab" and you would evan have a window plus the top should line up pritty well

plenty of people have used the rear hatches to enclose the cab. i have no intention of closing in the cab. thats the whole reason i chopped the back off. if i wanted an enclosed cab i would have found a comanche.

and as far as the 35's with 3.5inch lift go. i had to do a lot of cutting. and i still want to lift it more just because it hits the floor pan/inner fender at flex while turning. and thats with the seam cut out and welded flush

i used a yj roll bar so yj windjammer should work well to close off the cab in bad weather
