BTW, looks AWESOME bro.

If you have the tail lights recessed (Frenched?) into the rear like that, you can no longer see the turn signals from the sides like you can with stock. Will the local PoPo (Police/Constabulary/Feds) pull you over for that? Will they simply use that as a REASON to pull you over to then talk about your jeep? lol

Maybe need some wee side markers tied into the turn signals to be legal? Dont want to be a downer, just thought about it while reading the last few posts and looking at the pics.

BTW, body work looks tight man.... RED FTW!!!
your right about the lights. the last thing i have to do is build a rear bumper. the bumper is going to wrap around the sides and have the side marker lights in that. it will also have reverse lights and license plate lights.
i am planning on taking this thing through state inspection at the dmv so everything will have to be in order. i will put a set of stock tires on and also i may throw the stock bumper on for inspection. does anyone know if giant stingers are illegal in NJ? lol

Good call on the lights in the bumper. Just occoured to me, and I thought wow, would suck getting a ticket. As for the stinger... good luck!

im pretty sure as long as the stinger doesnt block the headlights you'll be ok. id say get it inspected down in salem county cause they're pretty lenient compared to deptford. and even if you dont pass with the stinger they just give you a red sticker that gives you 90 days to go through inspection again, so you can just take the bumper off and throw the stock one on.

Almost positive that it's only 45 days, not 90 - but either way it's still more than enough time to swap the bumper and go back.

Do you think you might be interested in starting an intructional thread on body work to show us what you have learned from this build and link it from here?

This is one of those builds that inspires me to find a project or do something drastic to my TJ. Im looking forward to seeing what color you paint it.

Also, if it hasnt been mentioned yet, hurculiner for the floor would be a nice touch later.
