This is a great build. It's awesome to see your progress. Keep up the great work. Looks sweet. Thanks for all the pics and info. You have my support. Nice ride. Any ideas on final color?

Nice progress on the rig. I really like the tailgate and the tube fenders. Keep us posted

color will be OD green and flat black. unless my freind gets really into the bodywork then we may paint it a pretty color like forest green or even burnt orange

I am voting for Forest Green, Mine is the Moss Green Pearlcoat. It's an awesome color. Metallic flake paint rocks.

got more stuff done tonight. including cutting the yj roll bar 4 inches shorter to fit. who would think a yj hoop would look so good in a cherokee.

and also got some more done on the tube fender flares

Cant really tell on the roll cage.

What kind of welder you using? Look a bit sloppy and slatters a lot.

Still coming along quite nicely though. Sheet metal on the tube fenders?

its a 110 mig welder using .30" coreflux wire on the lowest setting. its really hard to weld on thin body panels. my buddy has to melt the two sides and then bridge it across on the thicker metal. and yes i am putting sheet metal over the fenders. we are also thininking about puting another 2"s of lift, he has rear blocks and his dad has coil spacers for the front from his TJ.

and he said he can weld like that too if it is sitting on the work bench in front of him using thick metal and argon

He should be able to weld a lot better than that sitting at a table with argon though. A lot better.

Fluxcore is harder to weld with but it should look better than that. Still should clean up and hold good though.
