my jeep hates me, guage problem

ok so my gas guage is deciding to not work all the time

9 out of 10 times i start the jeep it works, but that 1 time it doesnt, i just turn the jeep off and turn it back on and its fine, any ideas on the problem? possible sensor going out or what? my speedo was messing up like 6 months ago but cured itself..

and to think i was just saying a few days ago to some friends how good my jeep has been

in the tank...fun stuff indeed, and dont bend any rods putting it back in, or else youll end up w/ only 3/4 tank on your gauge when you fill up like me

I've got the same problem with my 98, it only happened once to me. Hopefully that was the last time.
