The no bus error likely means there is a bad connection at the back of the instrument cluster. This is probably why some of the gauges don't work. I would try shooting some starting fluid into the throttle body and see if it starts. Check for spark if you can. |

Registered User | i just had this same problem in my 97, it would crank but not start. i also had the same " no bus" reading on the odometer it ended up being the electrical connector for the fuel pump ( the plug is directly above the rear axle) my connector was cracked and the insulation on the main power wire was stripped off and several of the copper wire strands were broken in half and arcing together, which blew the main fuel pump fuse( under the hood in electrical box on passenger side, small blue fifteen amp Fuse) so it made for a bad day, but on a better note i finally got to use all my recovery equipment , my father in law flat towed me back to the house hope this helps ...good luck |
