Jeeuh.

I went with the aj's standard rails.

There aren't enough rocks around here for me to need the extra super rails.

Went fishing at the Camanche resevoir this week, with my grandpa.

Lots of fun, towed the boat fine, no fish though.

Nice looking Jeep man. You know, I have liked the darker ones a lot... if we weren't pressed for a new car, I probably would have got this color of an XJ. Instead, now I have 2 whites ones!

Oh well, maybe there will be time enough for a third... before they all get too high of milage!

Cheers.

Yea, the color is nice. But it's fading, and the hood is ruined by poor maintenance by the last owner. (Look at page 4, post 60.)

I'll end up repainting it rustoleum royal blue.

Yea, it's great.

It cleans up with a quick shot of the hose.

Yeah, my '88 XJ had some idiot who didn't maintain it. Oh well, what are you going to do?

You know, we were doing heat and endurance testing on Rhino lining some year back, and we were naturally inclined to think that white was less maintenance than black, because of its reflection of sun. The Rhino lining people, however, swore that there was no heat difference, and black was the same sun temp as white.

Do you find the darker color to be a higher maintenance paint? Still looks good, a few blemishes will come out. Maybe it will give you a chance to just do some hood work. Enjoy the good looking toy.
