When I first crank up the Jeep oil pressure is over 40 while driving and it goes down between 20 and 30 and that idle it goes almost zero. I just replace the head because the old was cracked I bought a new one what would be causing the oil pressure to be so low do you think it's just a bad sensor
Normal Jeep 4.0L oil pressure is 10-25 psi at warm idle and 35-50 psi at 55 mph. If the head was cracked, one might suppose that the coolant was mixing with the oil and some engine damage may have occurred.
You should connect a mechanical oil pressure gauge to confirm the dashboard readings.
