I am not throwing any codes, but in about 100 highway miles I have gone through 3/4 of a tank... this is unusual because I would normally get at least 250 - 300 per tank.
I have checked for exhaust leaks I haven't noticed any, fuel pressure is fine, vacuum checked.
So this is a distinct change in a Jeep you have owned for a period of time, right?
Did you check for codes with a code reader, or are you assuming based on no CEL?
And are you measuring actual MPG over several tanks, or are you just seeing this on the current tank?
When was the last time you did a tune up? Air filter clean? How old are your O2 sensors? Are any of your brakes hotter than usual?
Did you put different size tires on recently? Any other changes? Are you SURE your odometer is right?
(Sorry, throwing darts...)
tested it on the same highway run twice (can get expensive with this MGP) checked with with the computer. full tune up within 6 months including fuel rail, injectors, CPS, CKP, both 02 sensors and computer. ran fine for a long time with no issues. brakes are fine, I also thought about maybe a seized caliper as well. I am not reading the odometer for distance, the route is very familiar and I make the trip often. I can verify the trims later tonight.
