No write up but done it a few times. I'm assuming since it's a 4x4 it's the 4.0L I6 like my '96.
1.) Disconnect and remove the electric fan 2.) Loosen Idler pulley (underneath P.S. pump) - NOTE: Not much belt play will happen after that. 3.) Loosen idler pulle tensioner fastener (between P.W. pump & water pump) near coolant temp. sensor. It's something like a 15mm or 1/2" socket for it and the idler pulley. This allows the idler pulley to travel. Really simple. Good luck. |

I wouldn't worry about a salavaged title, just find out why it was salvaged. Take a look at it and if everything works on it, if its just the belts then thats not a problem. I would ask him if i could do a compression test on it before i bought it. And putting a new serpintine belt on cost $20 and about an hour.
