Looking for bulkhead connector diagram.

I am looking for a diagram displaying wire color codes and their location. This is what I have.

I had picked up a basket case '88 YJ about four months ago. The P.O. had started an engine conversion from a 1993 XJ before I picked it up. It has a 4.0L, ECM and forward harness. I recently had performed a pin replacement on the YJ side to correspond with the XJ harness. My only problem is, the P.O. had already moved some pins around on the XJ side, thus disabling or crossing up some components in the engine bay, such as headlights, ECM power and other things not yet discovered. Manuals and wire schematics are useful, but not clear enough for the mess that the P.O. has left behind.

Thanks for any help in advance.

Bump.

I have a Haynes and a Chiltons repair manual, plus I have a diagram from the naxja.org site. I have discovered that there are differences between the two manuals on wire color codes, they do not match up.

I can get this figured out in due time, but I wanted to make it a little easier by having a bulkhead connector diagram.

Call you local or nearest to you dealer and talk to the parts guys and explain what you are doing and see if they will fax you a copy or email you a copy I'm sure they have it somewhere (fsm), (alldata) , just finding someone that will take the time and send it.

I have heard of them. I believe I had used them through another users link for another problem here some time back. I will take them into consideration. Thank you.

Just last night, I was stoked to have found my paper that I had recorded my wire color codes and pin locations. With what information I do have, I will do a cross check to hopefully narrow down the field. In the mean time, I did manage to run temporary power to the connector and use a test light to determine what came on when I switched the component on i.e. headlights (hi and low beam), left and right turn signals, park lamps, horn and so on.
Sometimes I wish I had my old XJ again, it was a fun ride.

Thanks for the page. I have this diagram in my Chiltons manual. My questions is, on the bulkhead connector, what are the pin locations, i.e where is #1, #2 etc and where does it begin? If I had a key starting point, then I believe this puzzle will be solved.

This is what I had done before I started to do anything with the wiring. My pin locations were based on me needing a starting point for reference, and it did not reflect accuracy or correctness.

I am hoping on a key to give me a starting point, once I have that then I should be able to easily figure it out.

Thank you. This would be a big help. If I don't make it that far this weekend, (I doubt I will since it is Independence day weekend) Iwill be sure to use it to get me started,

Guess what! I already had one of these I was using for the YJ. I did manage to locate a more accurate wiring diagram, I cannot remember the source at this time, but it was found online. So, Iwanted to say "Thanks" to all of you who helped me out.
