I'm going with the RE 3.5" SF kit with rear springs, which states it'll fit 31"x10.5"s without trimming. However, I AM going to trim, and put on Bushwacker flares which supposedly add another 5" of clearance. I plan on putting on 33"x10.5"s, though I'd love to go wider. What do I have to worry about in terms of backspacing and rubbing?

THANKS THANKS THANKS!!
12.5 is a popular width for 33's. I think most people run around 3.75 to 4" of backspacing on tires that size to prevent rubbing when turning. The bushwackers should give a good bit of clearance for those tires, although you may want to use extended bumpstops (or hockeypucks appropriately secured) to keep the tires off the bushwackers. I hear they are not the most durable flares (although they look really good).

The lift kit comes with longer bump stops, 2" methinks.

I can't say I'm surprised about the flares - they're only secured onto the body panels.
