Lift question
Hello,
I just bought a slightly used, rustys 3inch lift this weekend, for my 2000 xj. I wanted to know if anybody has used the re1822 long slip yoke that adds 5/8inch, instead of a sye? I'm trying to keep the cost down, but do not want to run into any problems with vibes.

I'm not so sure it helps with vibes but I think it helps with upward travel of the rear driveshaft.

Mainly the single u-joint at the slip and the rear pinion angle. Thats why they use a cv driveshaft, shims and move the slip to the center of the driveshaft.

Thanks for the info, I think I will have to either save up for the sye or forget about the lift all together. This is my daily driver, and everything envoled to do the lift right, seems to add up to alot of cash.
Thanks again |
