life expectancy of STACKED AALs

hey everybody

well i was talking to the parents the other day. they gave me the jeep about 6 months ago, and i had to beg and beg just to put some fog lights on it let alone offroad with it or do anything. well after 6 months my dad came out the other day and saw me trimmin up the fenders and didn't say anything about it.. after adding the rocklizard molding he actually said it looked good

so my b-day is coming up next month and i was asking about a 3 inch lift, and they said it should be fine. me and a friend are installing it, so thats not a problem.

but im probably going to go with an AAL from rustys, BUT im going to buy an extra set of AALs so i have 2 add-a-leafs on each pack, which should keep it from sagging, and i want my rear to ride just a tad higher then the front..

so my question is, how long do yall think that 2 AALs with hold up. i plan on eventually putting a BB ontop of this lift also

thanks

the question should be how long will your kidneys hold up!!! That thing is going to ride very rough and will have very little flex. My rusty's add a leaf has not sagged at all and did stiffin up the ride a bit, I couldnt imagine two

I have a 3" AAL on mine, and it has sagged quit a bit. Its been on there for about 4 years, and has sagged about 1 1\4".

You could do an s10 swap..

You dont have to use the whole s10 pack. You can just use a few to get the desired lift.

i remember you posting a few days ago about the s-10 swap, and I said that I got 2" out of it the way I did it, and I added a shackle. just go that route if you are on a budget. you can get 3-3.5" if you like. in fact most times that is what people net from the swap.

a set of full-length aal's will cost you about 50 bucks a set, times 2 for each side- 100 bucks or so

s10-comanche-dakota leaf pack, etc - as little as $10 if you find the right place

it will ride a whole lot nicer too
