I got an 92 Larado 2wd(but that's ok) really cheap and wanting to know if anyone of you guys have a wiring diagram of the starter system. My was hard wired to the battery and a push button to start and I want to correct it to start with the key. thanks

That seems to be a common fix for the failure. When I was looking at xj's, I saw 5 or 6 that had a starter button wired straight to the starter. Just yesterday, there were 3 Cherokees with that mod in the jy. Check your neutral safety switch. That might be your issue. There are some good write up's here on it. Search for NSS or neutral safety switch.

You can find most, if not all, of the FSM online here: http://www.jeep4x4center.com/knowled...?utm_source=cj
It has the full schematic and ignition sections.
