just did hubs and...

so i just replaced my front hubs and as im driving around i noticed a pretty good vibe from the front end. i thought about it and realized that i took out the axle shafts (just to see...) and i didn't put them back in the same position/rotation that i took them out. does this matter and could it be the cause of my vibes? thanks all!

What did you torque the hub nuts to?

Don't make a bit of difference. I changed u-joints in my D30 front axle last fall and we had those things contorted so many different ways trying to get the u-joints out I'm positive they did not go in the way they came out by the time we got it all back together. No vibes in mine, though. Did you evenly torque the 3 bolts that hold the hub in there? How tight did you get the big 36mm axle nut? Mine (no torque wrench used) are super tight.

i torqued the mounting bolts evenly and the pre load nut (36mm) to about 175 ft-lbs. the vibes may not be associated as the jeep is nice and old and has some "character"... i was mostly wondering about the shafts...
