Junkyard EGR?
Ok, so I really dont want to pay 100$ for an EGR valve, is there any way to test EGR valves at a Junkyard? I have a vacuum pump, I figured that would be a way to test, but how would i tell if its good or not?

i dont know about the xj EGRs but i have had many many problems out of mine on my 2000 ford ranger. i just pull it off and clean it. they get dirty 10x more than they go bad from my knowlwdge. to clean i use pipe cleaners and carb spray. but could be different on an xj...idk
