Am I missing something or is every entry this month stock geared and open/open? I realize its expensive stuff and we've all been there but seems odd. Always at least one entrant is geared and locked.

I'm locked front and rear. It's pushin' it with 33's but I saw no reason to reagear until I do 35's.

Yeah, with BFG's you're fine without gears for a bit. Just keep an eye on tranny temps so you don't kill it. Mine was very driveable with the BFG's and stock gears. In 4lo it crawled right up stuff without effort. But as soon as I got the heavy Trxus tires I decided it was time to regear to 4.56's and do the rear detroit. Now it drives a lot better than it did with the BFG's and I get about 15-16 mpg with a rack and roof lights. In 4lo its really not all that much of an improvement but cruising logging roads in 2hi is a lot nicer.

My vote

Yes, being the only entry with lockers, ccs had to get my vote!

Sorry to hear about the impending sale Mike....But who knows maybe someday you will get another one. As the saying goes, "you can take the jeeper out of his jeep...but you can't take the jeep out of a jeeper."
