Jet Performance Chips

Has anyone used one of these performance chips---and what type of performance gains did you see ????

Chips and tuner boxes have little to no effect on the Jeep 4.0L. If you want some gains in horsepower, you have to do it the old school way, K&N style air filter, bored Throttle Body, free flow cat converter, and a cat back exhaust.

Agreed...but... my buddy just put a jet stage 2 chip in his xj and it certainly picked up the performance a bit. GRANTED i dont think his performance gain was worth the $250 he paid for it. i say if your gonna spend the money on engine electronics, spend it on a code reader/eraser. As tim said, increasing your flow will work wonders for you.

Price vs. performance gains, old school wins.

From experience (i do have the jet chip s) the Performance one and its not worth it

you have to run 93 octane fuel.... pretty penny with gas prices

i noticed very little gain if any, i got mine for free and took it out.

just not worth it

Best feel so far was getting that Bored TB mixed with my Glasspack (that does not sound like crap- whoever says it has no experience or high expectations)

Now move your Intake Air Temp sensor to the air cleaner housing and see how you like it.

It's mounted in the intake manifold. When relocated, it gives more power, doesn't hurt MPG. Search "IAT relocation" Pretty easy. What injectors do you have?

Stock injectors are very prone to leaking gasoline out of a seam in them. Nice to upgrade to Bosch style with 4 disc tips for better fuel atomization. www.painjection.com has a sale right now. I just ordered my third set. Less that $100 shipped to your door, all 6 flowmatched with new o-rings included.
