Jerks when i hit bumps

I've tried looking around but have found no answer. I recently replaced my tranny with a used one. One day i was running around town in a hurry and i was pushing the old jeep hard, it started smoking and had a slight jerking here and there. When i got to where i was going there was tranny fluid leaking from around the bell housing. Next day everything was fine..everything was fine for a while. NOW whenever i hit a bump it feels like its trying to stall, it gets really bad on the freeway and the slightest bump sends the RPMS jumping around and i have to let off the gas for a few seconds and then its fine. I drive alot since i have 2 jobs now and i have to get this fixed. Any ideas? Where should i start first...

Have ya checked the fluid since it started leaking? It may be so low that it is popping out of gear when hitting bumps

maybe your new used tranny is bad. diffinately has a bad input seal wonder what else was bad. If it came from JY, Bad tranny's rank up there with collision as to reason for junking.

96 XJ 4.0 / 231 / 3.5" JY Lift/ 31" BFG /.....
93 VT1100 - Harley killer.
97 ZJ 4.0 / 242 / Stock
93 ZJ 4.0 / 2"BB / Wranglers / RIP-Gone but not forgotten.

If it aint dirty, it aint a JEEP, it's just a SUV.
