Jeep xj Issues

So I just recently bought this XJ it is my first and so far I am in love with it. I have a pretty rare set up from what Ive seen around. A 93 2dr automatic with a C 9.25. It doesn't even have 4x4 badges on it. But it is 4x4. It's a good *** jeep. It's completely bone stock. I just have 2 problems with it. The front left wheel hums after about 65 mph (I'm goin to assume the wheel bearing is going out). And the transfer case. The 4 lo works like a charm. But the 4 hi works every now and again but usually ends up popping out and grinding pretty bad. Any suggestions? Because I don't have the cash to drop on a new transfer case.

Garage
First you most likely have a bad hub assembly up front.

2nd, check the linkage to the transfer case.

When we do right, no one remembers. When we do wrong, no one forgets.

Yup^^^

Also, in case it wasn't a typo: Chrysler 8.25. There's no 9.25 I know of. May be important if you go looking for parts.

It's possible someone converted it to 4x4 if it doesn't have badges, or they may have just been pulled off at some point.

Good looking 2dr there.
