Jeep pops out for 4wd ... 4x4 disengages

Ok, so I can engage my 4WD and it works for about 30 seconds until it disengages and you hear this grinding sound.

What can cause the 4x4 to disengage like this?

Thanks in advance.

t case linkage needs adjusted, also the little bushing on the linkage where it connects to the t case could be bad.

x2 probably linkage adjustment or warn brass bushing.

This is the transfer case linkage kit from the dealer. $25.58
This kit is for 97 and newer, but the parts are exactly the same as the ones in my 95.
