This is the blazer thus far, wripping out the engine and axles this weekend, fabbing some new crossmembers in and painting the frame next week. the wheelbase was extended to 113" on the chevy. I believe the cherokee is at 100", probably a little less due to the lift with stock arms.

I wish there was a place to upload my chevy build, but I dont like any of the s-10 sites. Ive gotten a lot more help from jeepers on this site than anywhere else. So ill probably throw pics up here and there of the blazer as I continue on with both projects. If a put a cherokee body on the frame.. then it would totally count haha. maybe!!!!!

Second reason why I enjoy this site is because a lot of folks have the same budget range. Many of the other sites are just rediculous builds with thousands of money thrown in their HUGE truck projects. I like to keep it simple and some what small. Most people that are running cherokees with 33's or smaller know the capablities of their trucks... and I garantee a lot of the smaller jeeps can handle just as much as a truck on 35's or 40's. I ride with larger trucks and still out perform a lot of them. But, then again, it all depends on your trails and type of wheeling. The chevys going to be my beat-to-death truck, and the jeep will probably out live it.

I agree with ehall. weve broken atleast 3 chains. theres no tension, and you have to remember the chain weighs quite a bit, depending on the length. Theres nothing flying usually.

Not the greatest video, you can skip the first 3 1/2 minutes, but I've seen this exact same thing happen.
Kind of a shame to see the winch on the front of that cherokee go unused there.

^^^ i see multiple things wrong with how they attempted that recovery, they are lucky no one got hurt.

theres a reason a recovery strap has give and you should always put something on the strap to dampen it if there is a failure

During this ordeal, my fan decided to bite into my a/c line, so there goes that. Hoping its not a motor mount. But atleast I got some good shots of the jeepagon 'in-action'.. or, was in action.

More fun pictures from thanksgiving. Picked up the universal diagram of the winch... Just havnt had the time to attempt to put it together yet.

Also started re-enforcing the chevy frame. From what I hear, the early blazer frames are useless. I'd put my non cherokee unibody up against it anyday. Fixing chevys faults... ick.
