I agree with him, and I want to see finished interior shot after you throw up sleeping quarters etc.

Sorry dudes, the past couple days have been -1 and below so I couldnt paint anything. Today, it finally warmed up so I returned back to work. I appreciate you guys staying with the thread

UPDATE: The inside of the top is now painted a satin black. I have made all the measurements and will be getting the canvas tomorrow around noon after work. The canvas will be on tomorrow night because I start classes tuesday!!!!!!!!

After this is done, I will resume working on the front bumper and purchasing a winch. I will also be looking for someone to build me the front portion of the roll bar... anyone know of anybody in ny or pa that could help???

again, thanks for the help and suggestions. I will have pictures up tomorrow.

Ha, there's global warming doing it's work for ya! (Sarcasm)

It's getting near eighty here in southern AZ, I'm sweating in an a-shirt/tank/wife beater when ever I go out to work on the jeep...

sorry I have no real input, hope it all goes great, and don't forget the pictures!

First of all. I have to say what an awesome idea, and excellent work! I think it looks great.

For the rest of the interior cage, a PA fabricaton shop who has been really good to me and some of the other members of Beltway and Military Jeepers is
Rob at Mountian Valley Customs.

They fabricate all kinds of stuff like bumpers, tube fenders, cages etc. He has a small shop and treated me like I was an old friend while I was there. They even kept the shop open late to insure I was taken care of while a bad winter storm was coming in. Im shure they would love to be a part of this build.

Well, bad news. Went to the fabric shop to pick up the canvas.. and it turns out, instead of 9.99 yd, its actually 16.99 yd which pushes me up near $90 dollars . For a little bit more, I could just get the orginal canvas that fits. Anyway...I guess lied, I will not be able to finish the canvas tonight I am very dissapointed. I do not want to spend that much money on a low budget project. Im still going to keep searching, possibly get a used canvas somewhere?? any other suggestions?
