Jeep Cherokee with weird RPMs

Hello, I own an 89 Jeep Cherokee. Recently while I am accelerating, when I reach about 35 mph (sometimes less) the Jeep "jolts" and the RPMs drop then attempt to go back to where they were if I continue pressing the accelerator. This continues, until I stop accelerating. The RPMs keep fluctuating as if the engine is not getting gas. Sometimes it will not do this is I accelerate quickly. I need this car for everyday travel, any ideas on what's going on?

Could be the Tps. Clean the throttle body.
Clean the battery connections.
Test fuel pressure. Could be filter.
Air filter?
Tune up?
