Jeep 1 Land Rover 0
Well i had the best sunday night an offroader could have!!! my cousin and i have this little thing between The Discovery 2 and my Jeep, well it is safe to say that the argument is now over, and my jeep has proven itself once again!!!
we were on our way down this ravine, and there was what looked like a small mud hole... so i went through, and made it no problem! then the Disco goes, and just gets buried! so double back, go back through the mud, with BFG's A/T KO's and make it back through no problem. Pics... http://i172.photobucket.com/albums/w6/CherokeeXJ/SSPX0091.jpg http://i172.photobucket.com/albums/w6/CherokeeXJ/SSPX0092.jpg http://i172.photobucket.com/albums/w6/CherokeeXJ/SSPX0093.jpg http://i172.photobucket.com/albums/w6/CherokeeXJ/SSPX0094.jpg http://i172.photobucket.com/albums/w6/CherokeeXJ/SSPX0095.jpg http://i172.photobucket.com/albums/w6/CherokeeXJ/SSPX0096.jpg http://i172.photobucket.com/albums/w6/CherokeeXJ/SSPX0098.jpg http://i172.photobucket.com/albums/w6/CherokeeXJ/SSPX0097.jpg http://i172.photobucket.com/albums/w6/CherokeeXJ/SSPX0099.jpg http://i172.photobucket.com/albums/w6/CherokeeXJ/SSPX0100.jpg This one is of me pullin him up the muddy hill....mind you it has been raining like a monsoon for the past week! http://i172.photobucket.com/albums/w6/CherokeeXJ/SSPX0101.jpg

Good thing you didn't try to yank him from the front. This is what I did to a discovery that was stuck in the mud.
Turns out their front tow points aren't very strong.

i guess im not seeing the same pics yall are, but im not seeing these ruts which would require what..72+ inch tall tires if there were 3 foot ruts down there. all i see is a trail which a stock range rover is stuck on...any form of MT would have been fine, and its not really jeep 1 untill we see some pics of you on the other side of it...a pinto could have pulled that thing out

I give him credit for trying. You dont see too many newer land rovers on the trails anymore.
Either way, nice recovery. I had one similar last summer, only it was pulling a locked front and rear on 38" MTR's H1 out of a hole. Ahhhh for the good ol days ![]() |
