Jeep 1 Land Rover 0

Well i had the best sunday night an offroader could have!!! my cousin and i have this little thing between The Discovery 2 and my Jeep, well it is safe to say that the argument is now over, and my jeep has proven itself once again!!!

we were on our way down this ravine, and there was what looked like a small mud hole... so i went through, and made it no problem! then the Disco goes, and just gets buried! so double back, go back through the mud, with BFG's A/T KO's and make it back through no problem. anyways, i get a tow strap and try to pull him out..... well it gets better. After trying to free him for a good 30 min, we gave up, cuz my jeep couldn't even budge him(he was sitting on his undercarriage, and i was sitting in the mud as well, i was just spinning.) so after unhooking the rope, i backed right out of the mud, and went to my buddies house to get a come along....like a winch. so after we pulled him back, he slid right back into the same ruts. so after wasting a good 30 min, i said...... watch this... i pulled my truck right up next to him, hooked up the rope, and yanked him....well i actually pulled him out of the mud, and kept going up the muddy hill that we had to come down, and right up to the top!!! holy monkey this jeep rocks!!! esspecially with my factory Traxlok, i had no problem pulling him

Good thing you didn't try to yank him from the front. This is what I did to a discovery that was stuck in the mud.

Turns out their front tow points aren't very strong.

How true, the red one looked like he had the same set as the other guy. What are these guys doing in the mud with those street tires.

i guess im not seeing the same pics yall are, but im not seeing these ruts which would require what..72+ inch tall tires if there were 3 foot ruts down there. all i see is a trail which a stock range rover is stuck on...any form of MT would have been fine, and its not really jeep 1 untill we see some pics of you on the other side of it...a pinto could have pulled that thing out

I thought the same thing at first but the first 3 pics do look like a fairly nasty hole. The rest of the pics make it look like a subaru would make it lol. I'd say just look at the top 3 pics OH and as said before just look at the tires the Disco is running

I give him credit for trying. You dont see too many newer land rovers on the trails anymore.

Either way, nice recovery. I had one similar last summer, only it was pulling a locked front and rear on 38" MTR's H1 out of a hole. Ahhhh for the good ol days
