its broken!!!

i cant search!! ahh..

well, when i turn on the electricity in the xj--the electrical fan starts goin like mad...and the GEN and CEL lights turn on...the starter goes when i turn the ignition switch, but doesnt catch!!!

i have a 96 with ax15..

please advise!

btw, whats a GEN light anyway? its like right above my CEL and the manual says nothing about it..

nope, the battery is charged and the starter is running healtily...

sounds maybe like an ingition coil? or distributor? have u checked those?

check all relays, fuses... scan for codes.

fixed!! thank guys for the advice--it was frying a 30amp maxi fuse connected to the fuel pump relay..

advice for people who have switches on their fuel pumps: keep those wires away from seat sliding brackets!! i was asking for a short..
