I just went and got a nice OHC w/wiring out of a 99 Cherokee today at the local pick n' pull for..... Here it comes....... $20!!! HA HA HA They obviously had no clue what these are worth!! I should go check out all the other Jeeps there for more of them! When I talked to the guy on the phone he gave me the $20 price, but I tghink he thought I meant just a regular console, not the digital one. But he went good on his price so...

Ok.....I was tracking with you and in agreement until you got to the "visor clip" part. I'm not sure what you're referring to there

What you're describing sounds like what I already have with the sunroof power control in the middle and the one screw holding the whole thing up. The end closest to me (front) sags though. I want to find a way to keep that held up as well, because the single screw is closest to the windshield and not exactly in the middle. I would just keep what I have if I could fix the end piece (closest to me), which is just a piece of beat up cardboard. I could maybe just cut out a piece of metal or diamond plate and paint it black. Then my only problem would be getting the thing to actually work or just settling for using it as is, which would just be for the sunroof power and lights. I just screwed it back up there as is for now to have the lights.

If you find a small one for me I'll pay you for your time and the shipping on top of what the JY wants for it

(QUOTE)>>The biggest problem that happened right now was that my RKE is no longer working... hmmm any suggestions? The wires have continuity (I checked) and match up to the old harness. I am scared that I may have shorted it out because I stufed the RKE into the little gray drawer it has molded into the OHC for a plugged in test and when I pulled it out I realized there was a metal mounting screw in one of the holes, hopefully it did not hit it and fry something(END QUOTE)>>>>>>...................................... .................................................. . Did you change the computer in the new overhead console with the old one from your factory set up the two are coded together.I would try that first and see what happens.its how I added the remote keyless to mine I bought a key entry fob and computer board from an NAXJA member for 20 bucks and put in the board in my overhead consloe and things worked well.good luck

yours might be different cause its a 92, but in my 98, you originally had two clips up on the headliner with screws through to the ceiling to hold them there. It would hold the inner part of the visors so they don't swing around and stuff when you want them folded up. The ZJ's don't have this, but if you buy an XJ console, the clips for the visor are molded into the side edge of it as you can see in this pic:

Here is a picture of the grand cherokee ZJ shortened console

I pulled that pic off ebay, theres one for sale by a guy by the name of rockznrutz or something, I actually just bought a pair of XJ infinity tweeters from him and they're on their way. Hes in the UK though. This part is popular enough, its on practically all the limiteds/ZJs with sunroofs so it shouldnt be hard to find in junkyards

notice how it doesnt have the clips molded in the sides for the visors like my XJ console does? That was what I was trying to get at

FOR ALL OF THOSE WHO REQUESTED A COPY OF THE OHC INSTALL DOCUMENT: please pm me your emails again, as I just found the document when I was going through my "Jeep folder" I have it here and can get it out tonight. Its pretty useful and has good pics. My PM box was cleared so I lost everyones messages (ughh I hate only being able to store 5 messages, cept I'm too broke to afford a JF membership)

ah-ha... i get it now. My current OHC doesn't have the clips molded into it. The pic of that one looks WAY better than the one I have now

For all of you with 97's, there is no clip bracket to attach the OHC to like on the 98+. I just drilled a hole in the rear of the OHC and the cross member and screwed it up there. Very clean and less invasive than cutting a giant hole in your headliner. If I want to take it out, all I will have is the slit for the headliner holder on the rear of the OHC

How about a pic to go with that?

They actually came out of a 95 ZJ. Probably the best seats Jeep ever made IMO. They are extremely supportive and not mushy like the WJ limited seats. Almost between WJ seats and WK seats, but still really really comfy and soft. I love them. Look how tight the leather is, can you believe the junkyard only wanted $30 each for them?!?

did you have any problems getting them in your XJ? You just mounted them to your stock hardware and that's it? Do they have power and are heated or did you just keep them manual and non heated?

You luck bastard.... I want those so bad
