Ignition control module

Hey fellow jeepsters,
are there any reasons for a !990 Cherokee to burn out the ICM? Just replaced the original, and the new one didn't last a week. Any insight would be helpful. Keep all four on the floor. Thanks.

Any thoughts on why my 90 cherokee would burn out 2 ICMs in a week, the original and a replacement? Or did the replacement come defective? HELP.
