idle issue and iac cleaning

My wife's 1999 Cherokee Limited, 4.0 litre with 208000.

Couple of times in the last month it wouldn't hold an idle. Had to feather the gas pedal for a few minutes to get it to catch, then would be fine. I also noticed a drop in mileage. I did a few searches here and decided I should clean the IAC.

I used throttle body cleaner and a tooth brush. IAC was caked with black gunk. Used up an entire can.

Included are pics of the throttle body before cleaning and the IAC after.

Ran great for the test drive and seems the idle is a tad slower, which makes me think the idle was too high and the reason for the loss in mileage these last few months.

In any case, thanks for the previous feeds on this subject.
