Identify what caused this dent in my downpipe

See picture and take your best guess because I have no idea what could have caused this. Its not even near anything thats strong enough to cause a dent in pipe like that...

That is how it comes from factory. There is nothing wrong with your downpipe.

they are all that way. i dont know if it to increase back pressure or what, or maybe i am being too generous in trying to justify it?

Mine is like that too. I thought I crimped it from too much force trying to get my O2 sensor out.

The factory caused it. It's for frt axle clearance.

It was put there by the factory so when the front axle flex's the driveshaft doesn't wear a hole in it or cause a noise that someone would complain about.
My Borla header didn't have the dent in the pipe in that area and my front axle had self clearanced it.
