I knew this would happen...
...and I've been going nuts ever since I got here. I've been doing serious modding to my Jeep, and already looking ahead to doing more. Since I've been here, I've:
1: Replaced my factory radio w/ an MP3 one
2: Installed a CB Radio
3: Mounted an antenna
4: Put on a 2" BB lift kit
5: Disconnected rear sway bar
6: Installed JKC Quicker Discos
7: Stuck on 31" tires
8: Put on a rear towing hitch
9: Installed front tow hooks
10: Removed the front fender flares
11: Trimmed the front bumper back for clearance
12: Installed a JET chip
13: Replaced my muffler and pipe w/ a Flowmaster 50
Now I'm looking to:
1: Replace all spark plugs
2: Look into putting a spacer in the TB (and possibly reboring it)
3: Relocating the trac bar
4: Going up to 3" lift
5: Replacing the front coils w/ 3" ones
6: Replacing the shocks all around
7: Installing an air cooler filter
8: Replacing the speakers all around, including building a stealth speaker set for the rear.
9: Installing my amp
This place has infected me.

What kind of head unit did you get. Mine crappy Jensen crapped on me at the end of the summer and I've been radioless ever since. I was thinking of getting an Alpine MP3 player, but can't decide. I need at least 2 outputs also.
As for the filter, do the cheap job I did. I paid like 50 bucks for the hole setup. 40 for a 6X9 filter from Rusty's and 10 from Home Depot for a PVC elbow and rubber connector.
I think this site gives just about everyone an infection. I started with a 3" thinking my Jeep was so big a bad, now I'm dying to get it bigger and better. So far I'm at 4.5 and working my way up,

I took out my factory CD/Tape deck and popped in the Sony MP70. I did it because I have so many MP3 CDs I've created, and I can now pop in one disk for hours of music. The deck has 4 (if I remember correctly) AUX ports for upgrades.
Question on the filter: Is the K&N or Rusty's washable? I've heard there's one that you can clean and reuse over-and-over again.
Question on the sparks: What's a good replacement for the plugs? I've heard no Champions, and AC's are only OK. I'm running an ignition coil (i.e. - "distributorless"), which I just found out yesterday after nosing around my engine. I have three caps for two plugs each which totals to six, so I don't have to replace my rotor and cap. This also makes replacing those puppies MUCH easier, pop one cap, replace two plugs, put cap back on, repeat. The caps are even marked front-to-back, so even a 'tard with a rubber mallet can't screw it up.
Now that I say this, watch me be the 'tard that screws it up .....

Note on the plugs: I'm looking for better PERFORMANCE, not a straight swap or anything.

The filter is a K&N and yes you can wash it and reuse it. I just bought it from Rusty's cause they had the cheapest price that I could find.
As for sparks, I got the Bosch platnium double tips with Bosch wires. There is much controvery over the best sparks or what wroks better, but esentally they are all the same. The only real upgrade is a hole new ignition system like MSD or something, but with a distributorless you can't do that. Some people use regular OE champion plugs, some use splitfire, some bosch, i also hear about people using truck plugs, whatever that is.

How did that JET chip work out for you? Was it custom built? Do you have to change to Premium gas? Hurt mileage much?

AT the house, not installed yet. I got it Wednesday afternoon and was going to put it in, but I got busy, and now I'm at work for three days straight. So I won't be able to put it in until Sunday. It says I need to use premium gas, but I've heard from others that's mostly for the Stage II. The Stage I can get away with Midgrade gas, but I won't know for sure until I try it out. It was not custom built, I just ordered it from Jeg's.

For the plugs, just go with the Champion truck plugs. They are a good all round plug and sinse you're not running a "hotter" coil, there'd be no point in getting too fancy with them.
As for the K&N filter, almost all of thier filters are washable. Places like AutoZone also carries them, so price around. Take plenty of measurements and get the right size inlet for whatever elbow or staight pipe you use. Jegs will also have a couple of different types of K&N to choose from. You want a CONICAL filter, not a factory replacement.

I thought most Jeepers stayed away from Champions? I was leaning more to MSHarnett on putting in Bosch Platinums...

Cool. I like the idea of those filters. From what I've seen, they really do improve the performance.
