I drove my Cherokee into some water and the engine stalled? It wont start now???

So I drove me Cherokee into some water with speed and the engine stalled. I had the car winched out of the water and it wont start now? I found a video of a cherokee doing something similar, but this one seems slightly worse... Here it is:

Does anyone know what happened to my engine? And is it bad???

You probably hydrolocked it. You should approach those water holes slower to avoid splashing. It may not be locked but there are ways to get water out

Pull your spark plugs, dry them off, reinstall. Will probably crank right back up and shoot water all over the place. Did this to my XJ many many times.

From the sound of it the XJ in the video never dies. I think he just got stuck in soft mud. Yours sounds worse. Let us know if the suggestions above works for you.

i dont think you said that one right. pull the plugs and turn the motor over with them out so if there is any water, it has a place to get out. once thats done change the oil and put your plugs back and your good

Your engines probably hydro-locked. If so then it'll need a complete rebuild
