i posted in the other thread, but here you go:

sometimes came in older XJs 1987-1989 with heavy duty tow package, but are very hard to find

Also they can be found in MJs from 87-92. They came in the Metric ton package, as well as some other models. Be advised the MJ one is not a bolt in swap, the perches need to be moved, and shock mounts welded on.

Look on craigslist and on Forums. Are you near Harrys-u-pull? Try looking there.

an 8.8 might be an easier find for you, and its not hard to do the swap, plus its stronger than the dana 44

yes you do have to relocate the shock mounts and spring perches.
A 8.8 out of a 96+ explorer is ideal width wise and has disc brakes

These should help you understand what's involved:

If you go to harrys there are literally hundreds of 8.8s, and theyre only like 60 or 70 dollars.
