How to test: fuel pump relay or pump itself?

My son's '95 Cherokee, 155k, with the 4.0 engine suddenly will not start. A couple weeks ago it failed to start and then a few minutes later started and has started fine until this morning.

I cannot hear the fuel pump running and there is no pressure in the system after a continued engine cranking.

Is there a way to test to see if the fuel pump relay is the culprit? Or will I have to crawl underneath and disconnect the leads to the pump and test to see if any juice is making it to the pump?

I thought there might be a way to pull the relay and test it somehow.

Thanks guys!
