This is for a YJ, but they have the same front axle as your XJ. It's really a relatively simple procedure once you get into it.
All the work I have done on my jeep thus far hasnt been this detailed but this would be a good opportunity to learn. I replaced my P/S pump at one point which turned out to be a lot more difficult than I anticipated because of my inexperience and lack of proper tools. Righteous though, many thanks.
