Hello I didnt realize you were new. Welcome

Well I think this is what you are looking for. He is jumping a wire. You need to go to your profile and fill in your jeep specs. Makes it easier to answer questions.

you can do that bypass with out the splices if you know how to solder. just make sure you wrap them good with electrical tape.

Did anybody ever open the switch box? I tried, remove the 6 screws, dried but could not open it. Anyone?

To open the switchbox, you must remove the screws, then carefully PRY OFF the switch thumb levers, and then pry the two halves of the plastic housing apart.

Once you have the switch printed circuit board free from it's housing, you will find that all switches are soldered to the board, so they have to be repaired in place on the board.

The lockout switch is a snap fit assembly. CAREFULLY prying the snap fit apart will release the top part of the switch, along with the spring and plunger. The switch body, with the contacts that are soldered to the board, remains attached to the printed circuit board.

Unless you are familiar with small intricate assemblies, I do NOT recommend you take the switch apart as it's tricky to reassemble. If, on the other hand, you are good at this sort of thing, the switch can be rebuilt/rejuvenated, restoring the lockout function.
