Homemade Snorkel
Me and my friend have decided to build a homemade snorkel out of pvc for his 88' beater cherokee. The only question I have is how have people in the past sealed the stock airbox? I was thinking cutting the section where the air flows in off to make it flush with the box and then using some gasket sealer, piece of aluminum and screws to close it. Anyone have any previous experience with this?

You can also get the airbox out of a ford crown vic, i think it is, which would work great for that conversion, take a search on homemade snorkels on here and there are some really good cheap ideas...
