I didn't really get quoted or start shopping on anything. Those are just what I have seen the prices to be. If you think I can get stuff cheaper then give me some links or additional resources.

again, why does everyone feel the need to start sh*t. not that I should have to explain myself, but the reason i NEED a motorized antenna bar is because after 5.5" of lift and 35" tires I will sit at about 6'6" to 6'8" tall. my parking garage where I work has a clearance of 6'10". so rather than go with less lift, I decided that the CB's that were going to be mounted on my roof will need to lay flat against the roof in order to fit in the garage. one might say: why not mount them in a different location", but then I still have the roof mounted aux lights to worry about. so since I already have a linear actuator suitable to do the job, I will make a system so that I can flip a switch and have both the fog lights and two 4' cb antennas lay flat against the roof in lower clearance situations. makes sense to me.

I swear people arn't aloud to post anything anymore without getting 4,000,000 people replying with "don't get that" "Why would you want that" or similar. I guess all these people want all jeeps to be the same. The bottom line is one can do whatever he/she wants with thier own jeep. If there is anyway you can make the thread deeper, post it. If you are just going to sit there and tell people to do things otherwise don't bother posting.

agreed, and I am glad you see where I am coming from. too many people are too opinionated about other people's things and if everyone had the same looking cars then there wouldn't really be an industry. I may not like the way someone's Jeep looks but still respect them as a fellow enthusiast and respect whatever choice they made for a given mod even if it doesn't suit my tastes
