High pinion vs. low pinion gears?

Hey i am looking to regear my jeep. I have Dana 30/35 setup. I am running 3.07 right now and was looking to go to 3.73. I have found gears from a guy but they are out of a 95 wrangler. I have been told that the gears are different cause they are low pinion where mine are high pinion. What is the difference? Are there years of wrangler that i can use? I have been searching all morning but havent found anything. Thank you! Keep Jeepin'!

No, The LP gears are standard rotation, the HP gears are Reverse Rotation. They trun in different directions and therefore cannot be used.

They are different and will NOT work.

You need to find gears that are "reverse cut" which is only for the HP D30.

No YJ gears will work. Sorry.
