DO NOT use a SlimJim, it won't work with those style locks and you very well may break something inside the door. You need to call AAA or a locksmith, they make lockout kits for getting into cars in this situation, but they can only be legally sold to certified mechanics, tow companies, and repo companies.

If you're not a professional car thief and attempt this one yourself, you're gonna break something. Seriously.

anony91xj is right. Call a professional. Without the proper tools and knowledge you WILL break something, I have been in your situation, and believe me xj's are not easy to break into. The old coathanger/SlimJim trick will not work!

Get a brick. Easy as hell... Or use a coat hanger. I have done it a few times on my xj (used to have a real problem locking keys in there, now I don't run doors in the summer so it's real easy.. haha).

Brick is easiest however.

ok don't tell anyone this but I found out on mine that when I kill and then reconnect power to the alarm it confuses itself and it will trigger the locks on it. You could possible attempt to pull the driver side headlight, grab the wire to pop the hood and disconnect the battery/ reconnect the battery. MInd you the alarm will be going mad through most of the process and I have a Viper alarm not A clifford.

Ok I am off to move now so you all don't find my XJ

When I die and go to heaven I hope the first thing God says to me is "The bar is right this way."

I'm about to pull the darn thing out, I'm just worried about there being a ignition kill in the mix there somewhere. Anyone have a clifford and know how to turn off the auto lock feature?

Clifford?

I thought this thread was going to be about a Big Red Dog that hit the power lock switch!
