Headlight Options??????
I NEED new headlights i can't stand the stock headlights. i want something that will be bright. some thing brighter than the silverstars. i wanted to convert the headlights to an H4 bulb.
Any suggestions on good housings? and where to get them? Should i go HID? or just upgrade the watts on an h4 bulb? ![]()

H4 with good bulbs and upgrade your wiring.

I saw on a Toyota forum a way of making the stock lights brighter. You increase the voltage at the bulb IF the voltage is low. in the example I read the guys lights where only getting 10.6 volts, but with a few relays he got it up to 12.6 volts which yielded something like 80% more light!
Not sure if it works on jeeps but it is an idea

IPF headlight housing with any h4 bulb of your choice is by far the best with a wiring harness upgrade

E-code lamps and H4 bulbs. http://naxja.org/forum/showthread.php?t=906034. Anything that is fake HID or labeled Crystal lens or Diamond Crystal is just plastic junk. Up grade the wire harness at the same time.

I have IPF's on two vehicles and Hella e-codes on another. The Hella's have a much better light pattern on high beam. There is not a lot of difference on low beam. The worst combination on high beam is IPF housings with the "Fat Boy" bulbs.

Hella's have nice flat cut off and nice wide pattern on low beams. |
