Grade 8 bolts...were to buy?

About to put a RE3.5 super ride on my XJ, and i just want to get some grade 8 replacement bolts ahead of time... Shock bolts, leaf bolts and what ever bolts your guys think would break. Were and what size are they?

Dont get grade 8, get grade 5 for the suspension. Grade 5 will flex a little when your suspension does, Grade 8 bolts have their strength top to bottom like head bolts on a car. I wanted 8 too when i re-placing bolts, But i was told the reasoning behind it, And was shown a couple pic's and a fresh break on a rear four link set-up on a TJ. Some might agree some might not, Just my opinion, But i have been doing this for the last four years and have had great results, I even noticed a slight increase in the ride after i changed my LCA bolts. Good luck

For the tool's, Id just go to sears for the stands. You need bigger ones, 6ton i think, Id get 4 IMO, But two will work so will the smalls until the lift is on and the axle sits low to the ground you cant get under it. Spring for the bigger, better, SAFER jacks.

Im one that is going to disagree. The reason that gr5 flexes is that its alot weaker. I have seen and broke to many cheap bolts. grade 8 for all the important stuff on a rig.

Back to topic. If I just need a few- home depot, many- you can try mcmaster carr

Its not that much weaker. If you buy a BL what bolts come with it? And i have never herd of a body breaking off from the frame, Or seen pics for that matter. And what you watched break and bust was, Most likely grade 8 bolts installed where they shouldn't be.

m14 x 120mm x 2mm pitch for both leaf and shackle bolts, and control arm bolts too I think. Just get whatever size bolt fits the bar pin on the shock, and buy some nuts and washers because if they break the best solution is to punch out the snapped bolt and weld nut and fish some new bolts through the hole.
